The finals are set on the boy's side, including a rematch of last year's Division I title game. Top seeded Bullard will take on Clovis West. The Golden Eagles flew to the finals from the number six seed. Clovis West has embraced the role of the underdog.
The Clovis West boys basketball team has been all business to this point in the playoffs. After what many thought was a low seed, the six, they've gone on the road to Bakersfield and Buchanan, getting wins at both. Now, they're in the Section Championship game. Underdogs on the road in the first two rounds, they used late runs to stay alive, overcoming a 16-point deficit with four minutes to play at Bakersfield. Then, an 18–0 run in the second overtime at Buchanan.
Clovis West and Bullard wrap up Section Championship weekend at Selland Arena with their tip off, Saturday at 8:00, for the Division I title.
