
The Central High School basketball team ended the ten-game winning streak of top-ranked Buchanan Friday night, beating the Bears, 65-58.
The Grizzlies, who lost to Buchanan in their first meeting, have not lost since, running off a five-game winning streak to get to 5-1 in the TRAC.
Central led by three points at halftime and two after three. The Grizzlies then outscored the Bears in the fourth quarter 19-14 to grab a share of first place with Buchanan.
Meanwhile, reigning Division V Valley Champion Fresno Christian is now riding an 18-game winning streak. The Eagles are 19-1 after a 65-55 win at Riverdale.
