A school in the South Valley is conducting a recycling contest that will benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Students at Valley Life Charter School in Visalia will compete with each other to see who can bring in the most recyclable material.
At the end of the competition, Community Services and Employment Training (CSET) will recycle everything and the money raised will be donated to St. Jude.
The public is invited to participate in the contest. You can drop off your aluminum cans, plastic and clear or brown glass bottles at Valley Life Charter School between January 30 and February 10. The school is located at 3737 W. Walnut Avenue in Visalia.
The recyclables will be accepted Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital was founded in 1962. The hospital treats children from all over the world at a daily cost of $1.7 million dollars.
