FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

Parents, we have another important recall you need to hear about. It involves bicycle handlebars that could hurt your child.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission Wednesday announced a recall of bike handlebars made by Euro Asia Imports.

The handlebars come in a variety of colors and also may have the markings "N-I-T-T-O" or "B-2-5-9" etched near the ends of them.

The CPSC says the handlebars can break, causing a rider to lose control and fall

The defective handlebars were sold at dealers nationwide between January 2008 through July 2011.

Check the bikes in your garage.

If any of them have those handlebars, the CPSC says stop using them immediately and return them to the company for a free replacement.

You can do that by contacting Euro Asia Imports toll-free at (888) 662-1814 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday or visit the firms website at www.euroasiaimports.com.
