Clovis Man Dies After Being Crushed By Golf Cart

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -

A 53-year-old Clovis man is dead after being crushed by his golf cart while he looked for firewood.

It happened sometime before 5 p.m. Wednesday on a steep cliff near Tollhouse and Sample. This is northeast of Clovis.

The CHP says the golf cart rolled hundreds of feet down a cliff. It ran over the man and killed him on its way down.

Officers say the man was found by a friend who was visiting for the Thanksgiving holiday.
