Congressional Water Forum Held At Fresno City Hall

Posted:

Leaders from Washington D.C. were in Fresno Monday, getting a closer look at the valley's water crisis.

House Republicans held a congressional water forum on the valley's water issues Monday, at the Fresno City Council Chambers.

Congressmen Devin Nunes, Tom McClintock, and Doc Hastings all attended the event.

Local farmers were there as well, along with labor representatives and environmentalists.

Local activists like Piedad Ayala say the event today is a good start.  "We still a lot of ground to cover, we still got a lot of pieces to put together and we cannot do it alone. We need everybody to get united and keep working and keep bring their opinions into the table," Ayala told KMPH.
