Authorities say 27-year-old Salvado Chavez was found on Monday afternoon, after being lost for two days in the Sequoia National Park.

Fresno and Tulare county investigators say Chavez made his way to The Cedar Grove Ranger's Station.

Deputies say Chavez was hunting with five other friends when he walked off the trial and disappeared on Saturday morning in the Horse Corral Pack Station near Big Meadows Road.

Chavez's family says he was without food and basic necessities over the weekend. Over 2 dozen searchers scoured the area for the missing hunter.
