Oakhurst, CA- An Oakhurst man is behind bars, after using his dogs as an assault weapon on a Madera County Sheriff's Deputy.
According to the Sheriff's Department, dispatch received a call around 8 p.m. Monday night regarding a family disturbance in the Oakhurst area. Upon arriving on the scene Deputy Tyson Pogue found 37-year-old Christopher Robesky being disobedient and uncooperative.
Robesky reportedly grabbed one of his dogs, a pit bull, shook it violently and threw the animal at Pogue while yelling an inaudible command at it.
As Tyson was able to capture the dog and get it under control, Robesky threw another dog at him, but the dog ran back to Robesky who finally restrained it, and tossed it back in a kennel.
Robesky was detained, but deputies say he tried to head-butt his way out of the patrol car shouting, "Wait till I get out of jail you (expletive) cops. You're dead. You better hope they keep me in jail for a long time."
Robesky has been booked into the Department of Corrections on suspicion of resisting arrest, assault with a deadly weapon, assault on peace officer, terrorist threats and domestic violence.
His bail has been set at $50,000.
