
Funeral services have now been set for a Pixley soldier, who was killed in Iraq last week.
Visitation for Timothy Martin will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday morning, at Miller's Funeral Home in Tulare. The rosary is set for Tuesday night at 6 p.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Porterville.
A mass will be held Wednesday morning at 11 a.m., at Saint Anne's Catholic Church in Porterville. Burial will be at the Tulare District Cemetery.
The Department of Defense confirmed on Tuesday that the 27-year-old Sgt. was killed in Taji, Iraq.
Martin was assigned to 2nd Squadron, 14th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. He is said to have been killed on February 8th his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device.
