Karl Rove Attends Fundraiser In Downtown Fresno

By Winston Whitehurst

The White House advisor to former President George W. Bush paid a visit to downtown Fresno with a lot on his mind.

Karl Rove attended a fundraiser for Fresno County Supervisor Debbie Poochigian.

He gave his two cents on President Obama's stimulus bill, health care reform, and the war in Afghanistan, while signing copies of his book.

Rove is now a guest commentator on Fox News.

Recently, hecklers confronted Rove at a book signing in Beverly Hills.

He says he's gotten used to the criticism.

"I've had protestors follow me for the last two years, and you know, I haven't had any Democrats jump up and say, 'How dare they do this?' I wish it didn't happen, but I thought it was cynical when the Democrats tried to say all the tea party people were somehow responsible for the acts of a few lunatics making irresponsible and bigoted comments, and tried to paint an entire movement as irresponsible. I thought that was over the top, particularly at a fundraiser appeal for the Democratic National Committee. I thought that was really reprehensible," Rove says.

Rove also writes a weekly article for the Wall Street Journal every Thursday.
