Home Invasion In Southwest Fresno

Valley authorities consider it unique...four home invasions in the past three days.  Thieves have forced their way into homes in Selma, Kerman, Atwater and the most recent Wednesday morning in Southwest Fresno.

13 year old Joe Paim said, "I was really scared and I thought they were really gonna take me, just kill my parents."  It was a moment of panic for the Paim family just before sunrise this morning.

Joe Paim's Dad was leaving for work when he was confronted by four men.   Two had guns.  He said, "they told him get back into the house.   Open the door cause we're gonna take your money."

Teresa Paim heard an unusual knock.  She told KMPH news, "my husband.   The door. Who is it? open, oh my God crazy."

One of the suspects went straight to Joe's room.   He was awake.  Joe said, "he unplugged my laptop and my cell phone.   He grabbed my cell phone charger and he tied me up my hands behind my back."

Joe Paim still has marks on his wrists, his mother likewise.  Joe's younger brother and sister pretended to be asleep and they weren't bothered. The drama finally ended when Teresa Paim told her husband to give the crooks what they came for.  Joe said, "my mom just told my Dad just tell them that the money is in the safe."  Once they got the cash they turned off the lights and fled.

Detectives are now trying to determine if any of the four home invasions are related.
