A neighbor can't believe his eyes, so he calls Fresno police.  Saturday morning's homicide in southeast Fresno is bizarre to say the least.  Just before 8a.m. police responded to an unusual sighting near Jackson and Olive.

Fresno Police Lt. John Papaleo told reporters in the field, "when our officers arrived they did locate two individuals or an individual was wheeling a cart that had a deceased person within the cart." Officers immediately held the suspect for questioning.

Detectives were there in minutes and began preserving the crime scene close to the shopping cart. The body was removed by the Coroner.

A neighbor told KMPH news that the suspect and victim are brothers.  Benjamin Thomas said, "I've known the gentleman for 16 years cause my mom and him were in AA together and he's helped us out when times were tough.   He's brought us food."

Benjamin Thomas says the two brothers live close to each other in the neighborhood.  He claims the suspect was evicted this week.  Thomas said, "there's a lot of drama here all the time.   So it kinda doesn't surprise me but it was the guy's brother.   They've had an established relationship for a very long time."

So far Fresno Police haven't released the names of the victim or suspect.  They also haven't disclosed how the victim died. This is Fresno's 11th homicide of the year.
