Tomorrow at 4 am, you'll be able to work out in the same gym where Gold's Gym on Friant and Washington used to be.
Fort Washington Fitness opens its doors in the River View Shopping Center. Last month Gold's Gym closed suddenly, leaving employees with no place to work and prepaid members no place to work out. Even though some paid months, even years in advance. But one of the Fort Washington Fitness owners says they're hiring former employees back, and are honoring all previous paid memberships and services.
Co-owner Mark Gleaton says, "We felt that was the only way to do business. I could not look at people and say give me another $1,000 or another $500 and I'll see you out on the floor."
If you are a former Gold's member with a pre-paid membership, you just walk in the door and check in. Fort Washington Fitness has access to the Gold's database.
