Gym members were caught by surprise on Monday, when they showed up to the Gold's Gym in North Fresno to find the gym closed...permanently.
The gym, located at Friant and Fort Washington, had a hand written sign on it's doors announcing the closure.
KMPH News spoke to employees of the gym who say they were just as surprised, and were shocked to receive a text letting them know they were out of a job Sunday night.
"We had no information," said employee Jessica Gannaway. "Even people who were supposed to work this morning; nobody had notice."
Another employee of the gym, Kelly Gibson, said she was caught off-guard by the closure. "We were all in shock, I've been there for five years. Staff says crews started moving equipment out of the location last night.
There are also no listings of Fresno gym locations on the Golds Gym Website.
