Woman Hit By Van In Coalinga Prison Parking Lot

A Coalinga woman is in stable condition, after she was hit by a van early Wednesday morning.

The incident happened around 6 a.m. in the Pleasant Valley State Prison parking lot.

According to the Coalinga Police Department, a male prison employee had been driving his van in the rain, and didn't see the woman. By the time he did see her, it was too late, she had been hit.

The woman was taken to a Fresno Hospital where her injuries have been described as non life-threatening.
