The Mayor of Huron was back in court this week to face fraud charges.
62–year old Ramon Dominguez pleaded not guilty in a Fresno County Courtroom on Tuesday.
He was arrested on suspicion of real estate fraud back in September.
Dominguez is accused of selling a plot of land that he did 'not' own to a Huron church. The piece of land in question is located at 11th and L Street in Huron.
During a six month investigation Fresno County Sheriff's detectives say they uncovered enough evidence to arrest Mayor Dominguez and to charge him with grand theft, filing false documents and possession of stolen property.
Detectives served search warrants at the Dominguez residence and at Huron City Hall to recover evidence of the alleged crimes.
Dominguez is expected to be back in court in January.
