A man accused of murdering his father and setting the remains on fire will return to a South Valley courtroom on Monday.
28–year–old Nathaniel Caetano appeared for his arraignment Friday, with some unusual attire: a padded hospital gown and a face mask, to protect the deputies who were handling him. The judge in the case ordered Caetano to undergo a mental evaluation.
Caetano is facing arson and murder charges.
Investigators found the charred remains of 49–year–old Leonard Caetano last week, in the debris of a barn fire near Riverdale. Caetano had been reported missing by family members Wednesday, shortly before the gruesome discovery.
Kings County Sheriff's Deputies say only portions of Caetano's body was found, being that he had been brutally decapitated.
