The Orosi woman, who abandoned three newborn babies, will find out on Monday whether she'll spend the rest of her life in prison.
Back in October, a Tulare County jury found 24–year–old Nancy Ortiz guilty of abandoning the three babies, one of which died. She was convicted of second degree murder, along with several felony child abuse charges, and one misdemeanor child abuse charge.
One of the newborns, Baby Angelita De Orosi, or Angel of Orosi, froze to death after being wrapped up in a blanket and placed in the bed of a pickup truck back in December of 2006.
Two other infants born to Ortiz survived and have since been adopted.
