Fresno Businessman Kirk Vartanian found himself behind bars once again this week.

On Tuesday, Vartanian turned himself into Nevada authorities in connection with theft charges he's facing in unpaid gambling debts. He was released later that day.

Several Vartanian owned and run businesses closed in Fresno in the last year; he had been trying to develop the troubled Granite Park retail area when he became involved in several legal troubles.

Some of those troubles included domestic abuse charges and several counts of felony grand theft charges. The domestic abuse charges were later dropped.
