FRESNO - Fresno native Jason Glover took to the Save-Mart Center's stage Tuesday night to dance for family, friends and fans for the first time since appearing on the hit FOX show, 'So You Think You Can Dance.'
Glover can dance, and he was at a loss of words when thinking about his homecoming performance.
"Oh to be dancing in front of Fresno… I would say Fresno has been absolutely incredible with the support they've given me throughout the entire show," he said.
Glover excelled in the program's 5th season, making it into the exclusive group of top 8 dancers before being sent home.
He credits his success to the steps he learned while at The Dance Studio of Fresno.
The studio has hundreds of dancers in the audience to see their idol do his thing.
And Jason has some valuable advice for them.
"Everything is within your grasp if you want to work at it hard. I've had some disadvantages but they shouldn't set you back. Just follow your dreams and do what you want to do and nothing can hold you back," he said.
"I'm a technical dancer more of the ballet style, I am not good at the hip–hop and the funky contemporary, so we helped each other with that," Caitlin Kinney said.
Kinney has been Jason's dance partner since the beginning.
She says she's grateful for the experience and has enjoyed going through it all with Jason.
"He's a good person, a great dancer obviously and we really got along really well through the whole process we became great friends," she said.
And Jason says he'll never forget the thrill of coming home.
"I can't say it enough, but I just want to say thank you thank you thank you, over and over again times a billion for everybody who supported me along the way. I wouldn't be here right now if it wasn't for them," he said.
This weekend marks the end of the 'So You Think You Can Dance' tour.
Jason says he will then go to L.A. to work on his dance career.
