"Best of Fresno" Hosted... in Clovis

Fresno Magazine held its annual Best of Fresno awards party Tuesday night.

Great Day's Kopi Sotiropulos was voted the best TV personality in town.

Guests sampled food, beer, and wine from more than 80 local vendors.

If you were looking for the event in Fresno, chances are you didn't find it.

As for why the event was held in Clovis instead, Melanie Warner Kennedy of Fresno Magazine says they just want to bring the communities together.

"We're really trying to bridge the gap between Fresno and Clovis. We recently moved our offices to Clovis as well. We found it to be a great community... the city's been very welcoming and supportive," Kennedy says.

Some of the money raised at the event benefits local charities and a scholarship for journalism students.
