The suspect believed to be responsible for a fatal San Joaquin stabbing has been found.
Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims announced on Tuesday that Carlos Rodriguez was arrested by officials in Ensenada Mexico on minor weapons charges.
Rodriguez is wanted in connection with the stabbing death of 22-year-old Rodrigo Ruvelcava Velezquez.
Velezquez was stabbed to death Monday in front of the Los Amigos Market; his body left lying in the doorway.
Witnesses reported that Rodriguez had fled in a red Chevy pick up after the assault. He was arrested in that very same truck Tuesday, and is now being held in custody by Mexican authorities.
Rodriguez is also wanted in connection with a robbery at a gas station at Panoche & I-5.
Deputies say they are now working with the D.A.'s office towards extradition proceedings.
