Fresno Flu Clinics Changed Due To High Demand

Posted:

High demand for the H1N1 vaccine has caused the Fresno County Public Health Department to adjust their clinic schedule.

Monday's clinic will no longer be held at the Senior Citizen's Village, rather it will be held at the Mosqueda Center from 1-4 p.m. The Mosqueda Center is located at 4670 East Butler Avenue in Fresno.

Thursday's clinic has also been changed. It will no longer be held at the Glen Agnes Center, but instead at the American Legion Hall on 3509 North First Street, from 9 a.m. -3 p.m.

Both the seasonal flu vaccine and H1N1 vaccines will be available at the clinics.

The seasonal vaccine will be available for the following age groups:

  • The Flu Mist for 24 months through 49 years of age
  • Pediatric injectable vaccine for children 6 months through 36 months of age

The H1N1 vaccine will be available for the following age groups:

  • Persons 6 months through 24 years of age
  • Pregnant women
  • Persons 25 years through 64 years of age with chronic medical conditions
  • Caregivers of infants younger than 6 months of age
