Posted:

Sierra National Forest, CA-Helicopters are now being used in the search this morning for two missing rock climbers in the Sierra National Forest.

Two men and a woman were rock climbing west of Florence Lake on Sunday, when the woman fell.

One of the men stayed behind, while the other went looking for help. Almost seven hours later that man was able to find his way to Fresno County Sheriff's Deputies and ask for help.

He told deputies that the other two climbers were not dressed for severe weather.

Elevation near Florence Lake is approximately 9,900 ft and the terrain is said to be rough and mountainous.
