Fresno County Murder Suspect Changes His Mind On Plea

Posted:

A murder suspect, who once told the court he wanted to die, appears to have changed his mind.

31-year-old Kenneth Wilson was arrested after an intense manhunt for the 2008 murder of 34-year-old Julio Barajas in Auberry. Barajas was trying to sell his car to Wilson, when witnesses say Wilson shot and killed him, then stole the car.

Wilson had pleaded not guilty, but later said he wanted to die.

He was sent for a mental evaluation and was deemed fit to stand trial.

Now, he says he wants to enter a guilty plea.

In exchange, Wilson will be allowed to hug his sisters.

The plea deal could be finalized next week.
