
The Merced Fire Bomb Squad is on it's way to an area near Mariposa where a suspicious pipe has been found.
The pipe was discovered around 12:30 p.m. Thursday by a CHP worker near Highway 140, just West of Mariposa.
The roadway has been shut down until the pipe is furthered investigated.
Spring Hill High School, which is about a half-mile away from the area where the pipe was found, has not been put on lockdown, howevere students will need to take a detour home.
That detour will be through SR140 at Mt. Bullion cut-off.
