
Fresno County, CA- A Chowchilla carnival ride operator, who worked most recently at the Caruthers Fair has been arrested.
Fresno County Sheriff's Deputies have arrested 43-year-old Debbie Ann Scougal for being under the influence of narcotics and parole violations while working at the fair over the weekend.
Deputies say they were made aware of Scougal's state around 5 p.m. on Saturday while she was operating the fair's carousel ride. They quickly replaced her with another employee before escorting her from the ride.
A further investigation into the matter showed that Scougal was indeed under the influence of methamphetamine, as well a alcohol and cold medicine.
The investigation also showed that Scougal was on parole for felony grand theft in another county.
Scougal has since been booked in the Fresno County Jail.
