Two Arrests Made In Kings County Country Club Fire

Posted:

Two arrests have been made in the case of a county club fire in Kings County, which broke out back in 2008.

According to officials at the Kings County Sheriff's Office, Alan Anderson and Dave Hamilton of Laton, were arrested last week on warrants charging the two men with arson, conspiracy and insurance fraud.

Detectives tell KMPH News that Anderson and Hamilton were allegedly asked by a country club member to intentionally set the fire. According to detectives, additional arrests in the case are still pending.

Both Hamilton and Anderson were booked into jail with a bail of $250,000.00 each; Hamilton has since been released.

The Kings County Country Club is located in northern Kings County, just south of the Fresno County community of Laton.

The fire broke out back on July 7th, 2008 at the club's clubhouse building which was currently undergoing renovations at the time. The damage was estimated to be around $750,000.
