
Miramonte, CA- Fresno County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating what led a woman to use her pet as a weapon.
According to deputies, Cathy Marie Williams got into a dispute with a 65-year-old man while out hiking in Miramonte.
Words were exchanged between the victim and suspect, causing Williams to ride up to the man and knock him to the ground with her horse.
According to officers, Williams proceeded to have the horse walk on the victim's feet, before getting off the horse and striking and kicking the victim herself, as well as hitting him with a stick.
Williams then fled the scene on her horse.
Sheriff's Deputies, along with Emergency Personnel, were called to the scene and transported the victim to a nearby hospital via helicopter. His condition hasn't been released.
Deputies later arrested Williams, who was hiding at a nearby residence. She was booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
