Man Shot Multiple Times In Fresno Homicide

Fresno Police are revealing more information regarding the city's 21st homicide.

Fresno Police were called to the area of Calaveras and Mckenzie St. around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, for reports of a shooting. Upon arriving on the scene officers found a man, lying on a walkway, who appeared to have been shot.

That man has since been identified as 18-year-old Mauricio Zavala, who police now say was shot multiple times.

Zavala was transported to Community Regional Medical Center where he later died.

Police say the crime may have been street gang related.
