Overnight Fire Destroys Two Calwa Businesses

Posted:

Fresno firefighters are assessing the damage of an overnight fire which destroyed two businesses in the Calwa area.

The fire broke out just after midnight, near Jensen and Cedar on Friday.

Two dozen firefighters reported to the call, and upon arriving on the scene they found a barber shop and restaurant destroyed by the blaze.

Crews were able to limit the damage after flames spread to a home attached to the barber shop.

No one was hurt in the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
