Lindsay, CA- Residents in a South Valley town are being urged to boil tap water.
On Wednesday, notices were issued to residents near Lindsay, stating that bacteria had been found in a well which supply's most of the water to the area.
While the well tested positive for bacteria on Wednesday, on Thursday tests came back negative. City officials say they will continue to test the water every day until the state tells them they no longer need to do so.
The city is hoping to get the problem solved within a couple of weeks. Until then they say it's important to boil the water or use bottled water to avoid getting sick.
The "El Parmer" restaurant in town is taking steps to comply with the new rules. "We don't want anything to happen to out clients that come in. So anything we can do to help and make sure that everybody's safe and everything's sanitary for them is what we're trying to do," said Catalina De Latorre
City representatives are also asking residents to conserve water until further notice.
