Fresno State's Tommy Mendonca hit two home runs Monday night, but the Bulldogs lost to New Mexico State, 10-6 in a split of the four-game Western Athletic Conference series.

Mendonca has 14 home runs this season and 43 in his career.  That ties Giuseppe Chiaramonte for first place on Fresno State's all-time list.

Mendonca will most likely break the record on the road, where the Bulldogs play their next nine games.
