From hard news reporter, to American Idol Insider, to Valley Life host, Alysia has worn many hats during her decade at KMPH. She came to us in 2003 from Michigan, where she worked as a reporter and anchor. Alysia began her journalism career while going to school at Michigan State University. She hosted a show on WELG in East Lansing, then moved on to anchor at Lansing Fox affiliate WSYM. During that time, she was recognized by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters for her work covering the local impact of the Iraq War.
In her early years at KMPH, she covered the Scott Peterson and Marcus Wesson murder trials. In 2009, Simon & Schuster published her book, Deadly Devotion, about the surviving members of the Wesson Family. It garnered national attention, and was featured on Dr. Phil and 20/20. She's also been KMPH's entertainment reporter, serving as our American Idol Insider for ten seasons. Alysia has interviewed everyone from Jennifer Lopez, Carrie Underwood, and Mariah Carey, to Simon Cowell, Chris Daughtry, and Steven Tyler.
Alysia began hosting Valley Life in 2012. A small business owner herself, she loves going out into the community to meet her guests and viewers. You can reach Alysia at firstname.lastname@example.org
