The Fresno Grizzlies wrapped up a Pacific Coast League road trip Tuesday afternoon in Memphis with a 4-3 loss to the Redbirds.
Fresno had an early 1-0 lead before Memphis scored three times in the third inning. Brock Peterson capped the rally with a two run home run to put the Redbirds up 4-1.
Cole Gillespie homered for the Grizzlies, but their winning streak ends at four.

Baseball's Fresno Grizzlies lost their top player Monday when Brett Pill was recalled by the San Francisco Giants.
Pill is one of the hottest hitters in the minor leagues right now, batting .341 with nine homers and 47 RBIs in only 32 games for the Grizzlies.
Pill joins the Giants Tuesday in Toronto.

Two players were kicked off the Fresno State football team Tuesday. Receiver Victor Dean and defensive back Davon Dunn were dismissed by Athletic Director Thomas Boeh for unspecified rules violations.

Harry Reid took to the floor of the United States Senate to congratulate Jerry Tarkanian for his election to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
The Senate Majority Leader also said the honor came 20 years late because of Tarkanian's long-running battles with the NCAA.
Tarkanian sued the NCAA and received a $2.5 million settlement.

Among those scheduled to speak are Trent Dilfer, Dennis Erickson, and Peg and Kevin Sweeney.
